Two Lovers Point Guam (Puntan Dos Amantes)

two lovers point Guam

Hey! Hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day (if you celebrate it). I remember in college when I celebrated Single Awareness…is that still a thing?! Lol! Anyway, I had a very nice time. We kept it low key this year since it was a work day but it was really special. My husband proposed to me on February 13th…to be original…I guess lol. He got down on one knee in beach sand and I thought he was legit having a seizure because he was shaking so bad. Ah, good times. Since we are in the spirit of love I wanted to discuss my trip to Two Lovers Point, Guam.

The Legend of Two Lovers Point

The ancient Chamorro legend of Two Lovers Point or better known as Puntan Dos Amantes is deep. I have inserted photos below so you can read it for yourself. These photos were taken by me during one of my visits. I don’t think paraphrasing the story would do it justice.

Here is also a link to the official site for more detailed information on this amazing place in Guam. The beauty and spirit of this place makes it an ideal tourist destination.

Location

Two Lovers Point is located in Tamuning, Guam. It is very easy to access. There is a decent amount of parking and signage so it’s highly unlikely that you would have any trouble finding it. I’ve visited Puntan Dos Amantes a few times and I plan on going more. It has been enjoyable every time. The first time I visited was shortly after we moved to Guam. If you haven’t read about that crazy trip you can check that blog post out here. This place has an indescribable energy. Definitely the perfect spot to take your loved ones. This place enhances and rejuvenates love in a real way.

On site

There is a restaurant that has a pretty good menu. They serve local favorites, appetizers, and speciality drinks. The restaurant is right off the cliff so you can sit and enjoy a nice meal, watch the sunset, and take in the beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. I was talking to a server on my last visit and she said if you come early in the day you can see dolphins as you look out over the cliff. I haven’t experienced that yet.

There are 2 gift shops and a few food trucks. The gift shop contains all the normal gift shop items so you can take a little something memorable back home with you. The shop closest to the cliff is where you can enter the over 360ft lookout point. There is a small fee for the lookout point where you can view Tumon Bay and the ocean. They also sell heart locks that you can write a special message on and pledge your love. Not only is there history, scenic views, and food there is the breathtaking statue to commemorate the legend. It is just a stunning piece.

Listed below are 2 vlogs I did on Two Lovers Point from 2 different view points. Make sure to check those out to get more visual imagery of this place filled with rich history.

Thanks for hanging out today!
