I try to stay healthy, no matter what the season. It’s not so much about physical looks as it is mental and overall wellness for me. When I eat healthy and exercise I just feel much better. I get more accomplished, and I have much more energy to do things I enjoy doing. In order to stay on track, I keep a good balance of healthy and not so healthy meals in my diet. Life is just too short to deprive myself.
One of my favorite recipes lately has been low carb burgers. I remember eating a similar dish at In-N-Out Burger in Cali. My version satisfies my burger craving just the same. I haven’t shared a recipe in a

Low Carb Turkey Burger Ingredients
1
Iceberg or Romaine Lettuce
Tomato
Onion
Pickles
Cheese
Grapeseed oil
Frying Pan
Spatula
2 Mixing Bowls
Knife, Spoon, Plate(s)
For homemade turkey patties: 1 egg, Mrs. Dash, Salt, Pepper, and (1 tbsp) Worcestershire Sauce.
Sauce #1
Equal parts (1 tbsp): Mayo, Ketchup, and Mustard
Sauce #2
Equal parts (1 tbsp): Vegan Mayo, Mustard, BBQ Sauce, and a dash of Honey.
- Take your ground turkey and mix in one egg. Once that is
well-mixed season the mixture with Mrs. Dash, a little salt and Worcestershire to taste. ***If you are using a pre-made patty skip to step 3. - Form the mixture into patties.
- Place a little oil in the pan and cook thoroughly. While your patty is cooking you can prepare your sauce. (Listed above)
- Wash your lettuce, tomato, onions and set your toppings aside.
- Check your burger to make sure it is done. While it is hot, place a slice of cheese on it.
- On a plate add several pieces of lettuce, your patty, sauce, then the rest of your condiments, and enjoy.
*If you are feeling fancy add fresh garlic, chopped onions, and fresh herbs to your turkey patties for more delicious flavor.

Vegetarian Sauce Equal parts (1 tbsp): Vegan Mayo, Mustard, BBQ Sauce and a dash of Maple Syrup
Vegetarian Chick Filet Style Burger
***This version is not like a hamburger but it still has a fast-food type of vibe. This version is a bit higher in carbs as well.
- Preheat your oven to about 400 degrees then place your chick patty on an oven-safe pan and heat thoroughly.
- While your patty is warming in the oven prepare your sauce. (Listed above)
- Wash your lettuce and set your toppings aside.
- Check your chick patty to make sure it is nice a warm and crispy.
- On a plate add several pieces of lettuce your patty, sauce, then pickle, and enjoy.
