Bold Eyeshadow Look Using Only Two Shadows | Quick Eyeshadow Look

Bold Eyeshadow

I used to not care much for eyeshadow. I loved eyeshadow looks on other people but for whatever reason I didn’t care for it on myself. That feeling has since past lol! I enjoy a good eyeshadow look now but I must say my favorite looks are the ones that are simple but are still bold. The mixing of textures on the eyes turns a simple look into something that is dimensional and eye catching.

Let me show you a look that I do when I want a bold punch with minimal effort.

Materials Used

Tape (optional)
Cream Shadow
Powder Shadow
Fluffy Blending Brush (#1)
Flat Synthetic Brush (#2)
Small Tapered Blending Brush (#3)

This is a look using bold shadows. If you choose to use a red or dark shadow I would recommend doing your eye makeup before your complexion products to avoid issues with fallout.

Bold Eyeshadow look steps

1. I first start off the look by applying tape diagonally to the outer portion of both eyes. Stick the tape to the back of your hand first then apply. You don’t want the tape tugging on the delicate skin around your eyes when you are removing it.

This is an optional step but it helps to create a really clean line. If you prefer a diffused look don’t apply tape.

2. Apply the cream shadow to the lid with your finger and lightly blend it up into the crease. You can also use a synthetic brush to blend but I find that using the warmth of your finger blends the product more seamless.

If your cream shadow is a bit dry use a tiny drop of mixing medium like Inglot’s Duraline.

3. Once the cream shadow is well blended take a bright red metallic shadow and apply it directly over the cream shadow. I make sure to pack it on the lid with my finger and lightly blend it out with a fluffy blending brush (brush #1).

4. Continue to pack on the color and blend until it looks seamless.

5. At this point you can remove the tape if you used it. The look is pretty much complete. Take your eyeliner and tightline your upper and lower lash line.

6. Curl your natural lashes and apply falsies (optional) and mascara to your top upper lash line.

7. Do your eyebrows if you haven’t already and clean under the brows with a little concealer and lightly blend it down into the red shadow. Add more shadow and blend with the fluffy blending brush if necessary.

8. Complete your complexion makeup.

9. Take the cream shadow and apply a little under the lash line with brush #2 (flat synthetic brush). Add the powder color on top of that with brush#3 (small tapered blending brush). Lightly blend until the lash line has a smokey effect with the small brush (#3).

10. Lastly, apply mascara to your bottom lashes.

How did your bold eyeshadow look turnout?! I hope you love it. Try this look out with different colors 🙂

Thanks for hanging out!
