Quick No Foundation Makeup Routine

no foundation makeup

I recently finished a chemical peel and my skin is feeling so refreshed. Taking care of my skin is a priority. I don't pile makeup on every single day. My routine changes depending on what I have going on that day. I do have my cake-face moments but not often. If I go bold on anything it's eye makeup.

I've been doing my makeup differently since my recent chemical peel, which inspired me to write this post. I did a light peel so there was not a lot of down time. The full process took about a week. During that week I did not wear any foundation. I really enjoy how fresh my face looks and how quickly I can get out the door.

Here is my Quick No Foundation Makeup Routine.

No Foundation Makeup Routine Steps

I'm ready to do my makeup after my normal morning face routine (wash, tone, treat, and moisturize).

1. First apply a good sunscreen. I like to use Supergoop! Everyday Suncreen SPF 50. It helps to protect my skin with conscious ingredients without leaving a white cast. It doesn't cause my skin to be to oily throughout the day.

Doing my eyebrows takes the most time out of the routine. When I want to get out the door fast I use a brow pencil. Check out my detailed tips for defining my brows here.

2. Take the brow pencil and quickly fill in sparse areas. Use the spoolie end to comb the product through, clean under the brow with concealer and a flat brush, then set it with brow gel. I use NYX Micro Brow Pencil and Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel.

3. Use a concealer in your skin tone and apply it on any areas of the face that need a little bit of TLC. I use it under my eyes and on any blemishes or dark spots on my skin. I use a concealer by Colourpop. Once applied I blend out the concealer with my fingers and a damp beauty sponge.

4. Set those areas with a translucent powder. I've been using the Buttercup Setting Powder by Sacha Cosmetics but there are so many finely milled powders that I have used that I really like.

5. Add blush to your cheeks and lightly highlight areas on the face that you want to draw attention to. I highlight the bridge of my nose and my cheek bones. For this I like to use any set I have in my collection. I apply each product with my beauty sponge. Becca has a nice trio that contains a nice blush, highlighter and bronzer.

6. Finish off the look by curling your lashes, applying mascara, and applying gloss to your lips. I use the eyelash curler by Surratt Beauty, Extended Play Lash mascara by MAC, and Buxom lip gloss.

This No Foundation Makeup Routine is perfect for quickly getting out the door while still looking put together. We should take a little time for ourselves even if we don't have much time. Add or remove steps as you see fit to better suit your needs.
