Wet Line Xtreme Gel has been popular throughout socials lately. With all the hype I definitely had to try it out for myself. Wash and go hairstyles have been my favorite for a while now so I tried Wet Line with my normal routine.

Here are my thoughts.

Product Cocktail

For my wash and go’s I layer products onto my wet hair. I find that my hair doesn’t have to be soaking wet for it to be effective. Damp hair works fine with this gel.

I start by putting my hair into sections, depending on what style I’m going for. I normally wear my hair up when I do wash and go’s. I prefer to have my wet hair off my shoulders most times.

After sectioning my hair I apply Deva Curl B’Leave In, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, then I apply the gel on top of that. After each product, I make sure to thoroughly work the product into my hair strands while spraying my hair with water as needed. When I apply Wet Line Xtreme gel I make sure to add extra at my roots. This helps to elongate my hair and reduce shrinkage.

Lastly, I run my fingers through my strands (using the shingling method) to keep my hair detangled and to make sure the product is all over my hair. Once all the products are on the hair I allow it to air dry or sit under a dryer to help speed the process up.

Thoughts

I purchased this product from Amazon but if you live in the states you can purchase it from Walmart and other retailers. It usually costs under $5. Since I live in Guam it cost a bit more with shipping.

This gel has quickly replaced my Eco Olive Oil Gel and other edge controllers. I just love it! The gel dries and keeps my hair soft but still has held. I only experience flaking when too much gel is applied and I manipulate my hair too much after it has dried.

To refresh my style I spray it with a little water and define any curls that need it…that’s it. I sleep with a silk bonnet at night to maintain the style.

Have you tried the gel? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for hanging out today.
XO Terreana
